Cancer - The most spreading disease

What is cancer?
Cancer, also known as malignancy, is described as an abnormal growth of cells. It can affect any person of any age group in any organ or tissue of the human body.  There are more than 100 types of cancer which includes breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer and lymphoma etc. however the symptoms and signs of cancer are seen according to the type of cancer. Causes of cancer
Cancer doesn’t have any specific symptoms but still there are few common symptoms in the human body suffering from cancer. They are as follows:

·         Benzene and other chemicals
·         Some viruses
·         Radiation
·         Sunlight
·         Tobacco
·         Smoking and intake of alcohol

Symptoms of cancer

Cancer doesn’t have any specific symptoms and it depends on the cancer like gall bladder cancer doesn’t show any symptoms unless it reaches the advance stage.
Liver cancer has symptoms like coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath etc.

Following are some of the common symptoms of cancer.

·         Chills
·         Fatigue
·         Fever
·         Loss of appetite
·         Malaise
·         Night sweats
·         Weight loss

Understanding the diagnosis of cancer

Cancer such as skin Cancer, breast Cancer, mouth Cancer, testicles Cancer, prostate Cancer, and rectum Cancer etc. can be detected by regular examination and screening measures. The testing should be some whenever you find any pain in the body or lymph found in any part of the body. Cancer is detected before the medical examination of tumor in the body  as some symptoms are almost same and cancer is diagnosed after all the other medical testing in the body.  
Cancer is examined with thorough study of each part of the body along with the previous medical history. Any abnormalities in Lab studies of blood, urine, and stool are also diagnosed thoroughly. Any abnormalities in these tests can detect cancer. In case tumor is suspected, some test’s like X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and fiberoptic scope examinations helps doctors to easily determine the location and size.  
For the confirmation of cancer diagnosis, a biopsy is performed: A tissue sample is surgically removed from the suspected part of the body and studied under a microscope to check cancer cells.

Treatment of cancer

Cancer can be treated according to its type. It is treated according to the stage and the stage is known by the location and size of the tumor and how far it has spread. Prevention of cancer

“Prevention is better than cure” as it is said you should not chew tobacco; smoking and alcohol intake should be avoided. These three things help cancer to develop and is the main cause of lung cancer. Excessive exposure to sunlight is also one of the causes for skin cancer.
